In Central Finland, the best come together online too

Central Finland’s new website is like the region’s entrance hall. Step in and you’ll find the best of our business and talent opportunities, the ease of everyday life, and experiences across nature, culture and services in one place.

The shared website for the whole region launched on 24 September at keskisuomi.fi. The site can be used in Finnish and English. It was created as part of the Keski-Suomen brändi käyttöön! project, funded by the Central Finland Development Fund. The project is led by the Regional Council of Central Finland with co-funders JAMK University of Applied Sciences, the University of Jyväskylä, the Central Finland Chamber of Commerce and Central Finland Entrepreneurs.

Links, events and a media bank

From the new site you can navigate directly to Central Finland’s municipalities, services, educational institutions and networks. The site also features the region’s shared events calendar, giving you a quick glance at what is happening right now from concerts to village gatherings. Communicators will find a media bank with images and materials for regional communications.

– Central Finland has not previously had a shared website. In our brand work we identified the need for a neutral platform to tell our story and showcase our best clearly and attractively,” says Jenni Isopahkala, Communications Manager at the Regional Council of Central Finland, who led the brand and website project.

The website does not compete with existing sites. It guides visitors to them by curating the region’s rich offering into images, stories and links. The visually distinctive, brand-aligned site was produced by the marketing and communications agency Aava & Bang.

Share your story and give feedback

– We are building this together. You can submit business stories and share everyday experiences from across the region. We also welcome user feedback: what made you smile, what was missing and what would you like to see more of? Even small observations help us improve,” Isopahkala adds.

The Regional Council’s web address has changed

The Regional Council of Central Finland has transferred the keskisuomi.fi address to the region’s shared site. The Council’s website is now found at keskisuomenliitto.fi. Partners are encouraged to check and update links on their own sites. The Council’s social media accounts and staff email addresses remain unchanged.
